News just in that Karlos Vermola has pulled out of his fight with Neil Grove.
Comment is yet to come from Vemola and London Shootfighters , but Neil Grove stated on his facebook account Dave O’Donnel did not get word until Friday night .
Grove said : “Dear fans and friends…i dont know where to begin or how to put it in words…for the 2nd time in 4 months, my opponent has pulled out!
i am quoting a close source – ”Dave (president of ucuk) knew nothing about it until this evening. They (london shoot) was kicking the shit out of him for ages & kept telling him he wasn’t good enough. He had flu 2 weeks ago but went back training this week & they through him in with a shit hot muay thai guy who murdered his legs. so lon shoot said if he fights they will have no part of it. His manager told him he offered to pull out, but on wed he said he still wanted to fight. Apparently some guy from lond shoot was supposed to tell dave on wed but no one called. On fri night the message gets across with the message that james thompson will take over. Think that’s a bit odd or what?’
i would like to make this clear, I WILL NEVER FIGHT JAMES THOMPSON, OR ANY FIGHTER OUT OF LONDON SHOOT FIGHTERS, FOR TRYING TO CONTRIVE A REMATCH BETWEEN ME AND JT! HE HASN’T WON A FIGHT IN 3 YEARS!
anyway… i have vented!!! haha! see you at the troxy tonight!”
Grove does not wish to fight James Thompson from where he already defeated the London Shoot based fighter in his debut bout for UCMMA. James Thompson on the other hand has been trying to get a rematch with Grove ever since then.
The next twist to this story will be if this affects Karlos Vemola’s standing for Sol Gilberts ZT heavyweight tournament.
