UCMMA: Resurrection - February 6th, 2010

I have yet to see a card of recent at UCMMA that has failed to impress and for the first show of the year, Dave O’Donnell and team have continued that trend by matching up another good roster of fights.

The main event will see Nottingham Rough House’s Dean Amasinger V the Judo / BJJ black belt Alberto Mina of London Shootfighers. Mina is the current Welterweight title holder with a 7 – 0 record and Amasinger is riding on a 6 fight win streak. Both guy’s are well rounded so this easily has the potential making of a great fight.

Mark ‘The Beast’ Epstein makes his return to fight another veteran Mark ‘The Wizard’ Weir for the UK middleweight title.

Down to the welterweight’s will see Edgelson Lua of Nova Forca taking on John Maguire who will be making his first fight after dropping down from middleweight.

The Light Heavies will see Valentino “Battista” Petrescu come over from Ultimate Warrior Challenge with a 7 – 0 record to fight Jamie Hearn who will be feeling confident after his last bout saw him KO Tam Khan just over 1 minute into the first round.

Tickets are available from the ucmma website, but as per usual they sell out quickly so book in advance if you wish to attend. If you cannot then the show will go out on Sky Sports as per usual.
