Google Pixel And Pixel XL Launch In The UK

So, when will Google's devices - Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, and Android One - that are eligible for the latest firmware receive the new version? These two handsets were first announced at Google's press event earlier this month, and they've certainly created for quite a bit of commotion among the Android community. This time, the mobile carrier is making the Pixel Phone by Google available.

Today is officially the launch day of Google's Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

Google delivered Thursday on a promise to make Android 7.1 available for those willing to try out the beta software.

It includes support for image keyboards, so users can now send images and gifs directly through a third party keyboard.

Based on the video, the Google Pixel has a faster fingerprint sensor than that of the iPhone 7, although to be fair it is worth noting that this is only a very minor increase in speed. In a previous exclusive from 9to5Google, it is mentioned that instead of a Nexus 7 refresh - since the original runs on stock Android - the Andromeda OS-run slate will be positioned as part of the Pixel lineup, likely as the Pixel 7. With either, you get an excellent camera and a strong voice assistant that promises to get smarter - all without the bloat common with other Android phones. Google Now, for instance, will look through your Gmail account for flight reservations and remind you when to head to the airport. The program is still open to join and enables future preview over-the-air updates.

That's it, it's so simple.

Anytime you want to unenroll, you can remove your device from the preview by heading back to the site.

The more traditional way to get the Android Nougat developer preview is to go the system image/manual flashing route.
