Samsung Finally Unveils The Galaxy S8 And S8+

The company made no official claims about India but USA will start receiving the early products after April 21. But it's not like you are going to be looked down at because you pre-ordered your handset from a discount retailer. The Galaxy S8 was made with comfort in mind, as it is created to be used with one hand if necessary. There is no Home button, again, something that we expected after months of leaked photos and rumors, but it comes with iPhone-esque haptic feedback where the Home button used to be located.

The front-facing camera has at least got more of an update on the S8 though, with an 8MP sensor in place of the Samsung Galaxy S7's 5MP one. Save for a few feature location choices, the device is a seamless expression of the company's commitment to making their flagships perform and look unbelievable. The other variant of Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch QHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Both models have OLED screens with 2960 x 1440 resolutions. The phones will be available in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray or Arctic Silver colors in the U.S. "These were setbacks that frankly we took very seriously", he said. According to Dawson, the newly designed screen was a lot nicer to hold with the curved edges than its predecessor, the S7 and S7 Edge that were released last March.

The company enhanced the hardware with both AI and facial detection. The phone features curved display, Iris Scanner and more. The S8 also sports a voice assistant meant to rival Siri and Google Assistant. With Bixby, users can navigate through services and apps with simple voice, touch and text commands. Gone is the physical Home button that is now embedded in the display, as are the Recent and Back keys that are now customizable.

The home button has been shifted beneath the "infinity display". It also has a basic reminders tool that lets you set geolocation alerts. And the bottom has a USB-C port, along with a 3.5mm audio jack, speaker grill, and another mic.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ are powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC (or Samsung's 64-bit Exynos 8895 SoC).
