A reading of the Declaration of Independence, a brief presentation, and a Community BBQ will follow.

Fort Laramie National Historic Site near Douglas will be hosting its annual "Old-Fashioned" Fourth of July celebration on Tuesday. The event will include Nashville recording artist Corey Michael Cox at 8:30 the WorkOne parking lot.

The Town of Tazewell celebrates Independence Day with live music and food on the Tazewell High School front lawn.

The Selma celebration is sponsored by the city, Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Post 12. Activities begin at 9:30 a.m. and will continue throughout the day, ending at 5:30 p.m.

If you're near Ossipee, the Annual 4 of July Parade starts at 10 am with a community fair immediately following.

5-6:30 p.m. - Beatles tribute band The Veedles performs at Riverside Park.

The Annual Athens Fireworks Show will be 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Athens High School stadium on US 31. Week long celebrations will include tie-dye and a campsite decorating contest.

Sebastopol Fireworks: Gates open 5:30 p.m. Monday, Analy High School football field, Sebastopol.

The free Webfooters show will be from 5:45-8 p.m. Sunday, July 2.

And on West 16th Street - between Avenue A and the park - no parking will be allowed on either side of the street after 6 p.m.

"Our goal is to provide a fun, family event that everyone, from all age groups, can enjoy", said Sealy. The show begins at 8 p.m.

The Kiddie Parade will step off at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at the Cloverleaf Lakes boat launch on County Trunk Y. Later that day, the Pontoon Parade will circle the lakes starting at 6:30 p.m. off Gibson Island. Celebrating over 30 years of Fourth of July music and fireworks on Buffalo Bayou, Houston will host its signature event, Freedom Over Texas, again this holiday. Plus, kids can enjoy free face painting. The park will also have concessions and mini golf from 11 9 p.m.

The Pioneer Days Parade is at 10 a.m., and the Rotary Club's annual buffalo barbecue is 11 2 p.m., in City Park. Fireworks start about 9:15 p.m. Games will take place from 9 noon including a turtle race, frog race, egg race, sack race, soft egg toss, water balloon toss and softball toss.

A grand fireworks display will commence at dusk. Food vendors, activities, music and more. The event brings runners from around the state for a competitive run around Green Lake. This year, Mancos Pizza Co., and the town's branch of the Dolores State Bank will hold special fundraising events on Friday, and on Saturday the third annual 5K Independence Run will also support the display.
