Kevin Love's rebounding will make the difference for Cavaliers vs. Warriors

The Golden State Warriors face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday i.

"You understand what to expect", Livingston said. They lost four games in a row, including two with LeBron James playing.

Speaking in Oakland, James said, "if this is to shed a light and continuing to keep the conversation going on my behalf then I'm OK with it". Absent the Kawhi injury, the Spurs were a legitimate threat to win the Western Conference Finals, even if they would not have been favored had they held on to win Game One (and Kawhi recovered). And despite having seen these two teams so many times over the past couple of years, Breen will still do his regular preparation for this series like he would any other, with a specific focus on box scores and notes from the last two Finals.

"We're trying to take what they took from us a year ago".

"I'm at a point in my life where my priorities are in place", James said. Any player, especially those 6 feet 7 and under, would have an incredibly hard time matching his rim-protecting prowess of the first round against Portland.

James had won two titles as part of another "super team" in Miami but last year's crown meant even more to his legacy.

As a matter of fact, the former National Basketball Association head coach and current ESPN broadcaster believes the Warriors will win the series in just 5 games. "Probably going to be a lot of adjustments throughout the course of the series and not going to be able to guard this team just one way". And although it was Irving's turnaround fadeaway that won Game 7, James' iconic block on Andre Iguodala along with a triple-double powered Cleveland to its first championship in franchise history.

James' first trip to the Finals came 10 years ago when the Cavs were swept by San Antonio. No one can impact a basketball game while only scoring 13 points as much as Draymond Green. Two, I wasn't convinced that adding Kevin Durant to the Warriors' loaded mix would be as seamless as Golden State has made it look.

"No matter how much money you have, no matter how famous you are, no matter how many people admire you, being black in America is tough", James said.

Both teams arrive healthy this year.

"It's definitely special to be a part of, but I think when you're on the battlefield you don't really have time to just sit back and really think about how big it actually is", Thompson said.

Barnes wasn't exactly a neutral observer past year, having grown up in Northern California and having played with the Warriors before their recent run of dominance. More significant in this matchup will be which team defends the perimeter the best.

The Cavaliers have lost just once in three playoff rounds, falling on a last-second shot by three points to top-seeded Boston in game three of the Eastern Conference finals, while winning the other four games by an average of almost 26 points.
