As the official numbers for opening day of Salman's Eid release is still awaited, Bollywood pundits predict that the movie would garner more than Rs 300 crore in the country.

Salman's brother Sohail Khan returns to acting with Tubelight. Tubelight inspired by the Hollywood film Little Boy directed by Alejandro Monteverde, is told with a fable-like simplicity.

He sparked uproar shortly before Sultan hit screens by saying his heavy training schedule for the film, in which he played an ageing wrestler, left him feeling "like a raped woman".

Since from the release of Tubelight movie first look poster audience have waited for the release of the film. Pritam's songs and Julius Packiam's background score have spoken a million words of familiar love. After all, the film is based on Little Boy, in which the protagonist was an 8-year-old child who tries hard to come to grips with war. The two had a great time on the sets of the film, and it is proved by pictures that Salman has been posting on his Twitter handle. The character which Salman portrayed in "Tubelight" is so vulnerable, yet he did it with finesse. The boy who was often bullied as a "Tubelight" to much of his dismay and hardly had a mate, found his best friend and solace in brother Bharat Singh Bisht (Sohail Khan). Bharat was helpless and leaves Laxman behind.

Single screens are the real winners in terms of occupancy. With thumbs down from the critics, the film still managed to make the bhai fans excited. His innocence will make the audience cry. The action comedy celluloid, which features Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in major roles, is expected to collect an income of Rs 35 crore on opening day. First it was said that her commitments back in China are a reason behind it, now it has been revealed that the sensitive topic of Tubelight forced her to miss the promotions. Its prerelease response on ticket windows is also very excellent.

Indian distributors for the film NH Studioz acquired the rights for Rs 132 crore and Sony Music spent Rs 20 crore for the music rights, as per a Forbes report. The hype on the latest film also increased day by day before the release, and it is due to the music, teasers which were released a few days back. But at 150 minutes, the film overstretches its run-time by more than half an hour. Today tubelight is out in theaters and all media houses are given their opinion about the movie.
