One of the greatest pleasures of summer in Montreal is to spend a long day at the beach: swimming, picking up a bronze, picnic, boating, pedal boats, sand castles or even beating a ball in the sand. These are ingredients to fully enjoy the summer season. And there is no need to go too far, leave the country let alone leave the city. That's what you read ... you do not have to leave Montreal to go to the beach! Around here there are several public river or artificial beaches on the outskirts of Montreal that are accessible in 30-40 minutes by car; some of them are possible to go by public transport or even by bicycle.

We have separated 5 of these beaches to discover this summer:

1. Parc Jean-Drapeau Beach

If you only have a few hours and do not have a means of transportation, it is possible to sunbathe and refresh 5 minutes by metro from downtown Montreal, the Jean-Drapeau Park Beach.
