Oks House Buenos Aires, Argentina. 1953-56 Architect: Antonio Bonet Castellana

The Oks house is located in the town of Martinez, in the outskirts of Greater Buenos Aires. The terrain, quite a large plot, widens significantly in the middle of its bottom, where the prism of the house has been located, occupying the largest transverse dimension. The exterior is thus divided into two areas, clearly differentiated, which also responds to a different treatment. The front is of a traditional type, a large turf surface with shrubs, connected to the street by a low grid and open fence. The rear area, more closed, presents a defined courtyard character intimately integrated with the living area. This hotel is located in the city center, near the beach. Features.Recreational amenities include an outdoor pool, a spa tub, and a fitness facility.
The Oks house is located in the town of Martinez, in the surroundings of Greater Buenos Aires. The terrain, a lot of good measures, widens notably in the middle of its bottom, where the prism of the house has been located, occupying the largest transverse dimension. The exterior is thus divided into two zones, clearly differentiated, which also respond to a different treatment. The front part is of a traditional type, a large turf surface nuanced by bush cores, connected to the street by a low grid and open weave. the rear area, more closed, presents a defined patio character integrated intimately with the living area. This last area serves as a link to the house with a pavilion of games, changing rooms and bar, which serves a large swimming pool.

The 70-centimeter high platform defines the perimeter and lower floor of the house, with its reception rooms that unfold freely over the entire front and back patio. Different plans, in either direction, limit the unlike areas of being constituting a set, a fluid space through other virtual spaces. The metalwork surrounding this area integrates the interior with the garden in the background. The patio is, within this set, an element of fundamental value in the total framing.

This patio has a deck and is double height. Because of its location, being at the same level of the living area, and by its use, it can be considered an open air interior. A service yard, over the garage and attached to the kitchen and children's dining room, is an extension, to another level, of the house floor.
