How to Make a Jewelry Plate

Supplies

  • Soft polymer clay or other baked clay oven
  • Waxed paper
  • A roller or other cylindrical element
  • 3-D shaped element
  • Stainless steel round or cookie cutter < / h3>

    Step 1:

Break the clay in half and knead for a few minutes before rolling out onto the waxed paper. (Some of you bakers might have a stick to knead by hand, but we can use a bottle of wine) Both kneading and rolling will take a few minutes.

    Step 2:

Once that your clay has a thickness of about 1/8 "/ 3 mm thick, place it in your wax paper and adhere its design element. I used the lid of a ceramic jar, a pretty necklace, literally anything with a 3-D design. The key to this part is pressing firmly and evenly, so that your pattern has the same depth all the way. I had to do it a second time, because half of it was too shallow.

    Step 3:

Carefully remove the clay with the pattern and put it back on the paper. wax. Choose your favorite part from the final design of your dish and use the cookie cutter. Press firmly and cut the remaining clay.

    Step 4:

To activate this piece of clay disc, use a plate with the edges facing up. It all depends on how superficial or deep you want it to be. Once finished, place it on a baking sheet covered with foil and bake according to the manufacturer's label. In my clay I specified 30 minutes at 230 degrees, but yours may vary slightly.

It can also give it color, and I leave it in your hands.
