Our Neighborhood Trees program will coordinate two events focusing on large tree planting (8-12 ') in the NESCA neighborhood and Morningside Elementary School. Our hope is to plant about 40 trees in NESCA in March and 20-25 trees in Morningside Elementary School in April. These activities will support the goal of achieving tree crown cover of 23% throughout Salem. Today, the Morningside neighborhood has a 19% crown cover.

You can join these planting efforts simply by coming dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy footwear - you do not need to let us know they come! Please see our calendar on our website for more details on all our planting events or contact Gustavo at 503-467-2529 for more information Volunteers Always Needed
