Information will be available at the school. Bus will leave Whittier located at W. 23 Street and Wolcott at 4pm. We encourage you to bike the route.

Enjoy an entertaining 2 hour bus tour through the heart of Pilsen and visit a select group of beautiful community and school gardens in Pilsen. Stops will include some stops at murals along the route. The last garden will have a small reception where winners of the Garden Tour Raffle will be announced. Pilsen gardens exemplify the importance of conservation. They contain Monarch Butterfly sanctuaries, Native Prairie plantings, Organic vegetable gardens, Creative Reuse and recycling. The garden walk is sponsored by Green Alliance - Greening Alliance, a coalition of Pilsen gardens that support Green initiatives, more green space, wildlife and environmental conservation. We're a grassroots volunteer organization. We welcome new members who share our interests.

Admission is free. Donations are welcome.

This 2013 tour is supported in part by NeighborSpace, Openlands, and Ward Alderman Daniel Solis.
