Most of the tropical rainforests are found in four biogeographical regions: Afrotropical (African continent, Madagascar and scattered islands), Australian (Australia, New Guinea and the islands of the Pacific), Indomalaya (India, Sri Lanka, Asia and Southeast Asia) and Neotropical (South America, Central America and the Caribbean islands). AFROTROPICAL REGION Angola, Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe .

AUSTRALIAN REGION Australia, Papua New Guinea, Pacific Islands (including Hawaii). India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the United States of America and the United States of America.
