The Legend of the Mushroom - World Primaria

On the immense blue planet we live in there are many types of owls. One of the most curious and chanting is the moccaro, which is how a small bird with round eyes that only inhabits the forests of the island of Puerto Rico is known.

The moccaro has a very special particularity : during the day it is hidden and only allowed to be seen at night Do you want to know why?

There is an old legend about this Caribbean island that a long, long time ago, in which all the animals gathered to sing, dance and have a great time.

Every time there was a celebration, the different species took turns to organize the many preparations needed to make everything perfect. On one occasion this great honor fell on the birds.

All birds, from the largest to the smallest, met in assembly to distribute the work equitably. As the most important thing was that the invitations arrived with enough time in advance, they agreed to send as a messenger to the fast and responsible red-tailed eagle.

Delighted to be chosen, the red-tailed eagle was home for home delivering the cards. At the last minute he arrived at the tree where the man was living, and to his surprise, the poor little animal was found naked.

The red-tailed eagle was very surprised and felt a bit of trouble that he tried to disguise.

- Good morning, my friend! I came to bring you the invitation for the next animal feast.

The mutator reacted with little enthusiasm and did not even bother to read it.

- Ah, I see!

- Forgive the indiscretion, but I see that you are naked. Do not you have any clothes to wear?

p> The mucarito blushed and completely embarrassed, he lowered his head.

The red-tailed eagle was so shocked that he did not know what to say. He waved good-bye, and with a shrunken heart, he was flying. As soon as he returned he called an emergency meeting to tell the other birds the unfortunate situation of the little owl.

- We have to do something immediately! We can not allow our friend to miss the party just because he does not wear the right clothes!

A green ivory-billed parrot was the first to manifest in favor of the Mufar. Of course, we will all help you! Listen, I can think of something: each of us will take a pen, we will gather many, and we will give them to make a suit to measure. The only condition we will put on it is that when the party ends it will have to return each feather to its owner. What do you think?

If something characterizes the birds is generosity, so the parrot did not have to insist ; without delay, all the birds were plucked with the beak a feather of the chest. When they had gathered about fifty, the red-tailed eagle put them in a small sack and went fast and swift to the house of the Mufar.

- Here, mate, this is for you! Between a few friends we have put together a lot of colored feathers so that you design a nice outfit to go to the party.

The mukar was very excited.

- Really? ... But they are precious!

- Yes they are! You can use them however you want but be aware that they have an owner and you will have to return them when the party is over. Ok?

- Oh, of course! Thank you very much, it is a beautiful detail! I'm going to sew right now!

- Damn, how good I have left! Are they my imagination, or am I incredibly handsome?

No, it was not his imagination, because as soon as he appeared in the treat, his appearance caused a real sensation. Many animals came to him to tell him that he looked like a real gallant and the females of all species were taken with his elegance. The Moccasin was so proud and he felt so attractive, that he was strutting around, making sure that his glamor did not go unnoticed by anyone.

He lived a truly great night, chatting, dancing and eating delicious canapés I had not enjoyed it in so many years! But nothing is eternal and when the party was coming to an end, it began to overwhelm. He knew the time was coming to return the feathers and gave him a lot of rage. Now that she was dressed so beautifully and it felt so good, how could she get rid of her?

The guests began to go home and thought that soon there would be no one there. In a fit of selfishness and ingratitude, he decided that it was best to sneak out the back door without returning the feathers. He glanced from side to side in disguise, made his way to the exit without drawing attention, and went into the woods.

Soon after, the orchestra stopped playing and the waiters began to pick up the trays of cakes where only the crumbs were left! The party was over!

The birds that had given up their feathers so generously looked for the parrot everywhere, but soon realized that the very rogue had been faded. They waited a couple of hours for him to return, and some even went looking for him, but no one was able to locate him, not even in his home, closed in and out. It was never heard of again.
