Home Dermatologics Launches Strength 75mg of MINOCIN Ball-Filled Capsules to Treat Bacterial Infections

Home Dermatologics, a leader in developing recipe and marketing products to improve skin health, today announced the launch of a 75mg strength of MINOCIN's Ball-Filling Capsules (Hydrochloride of minocycline). MINOCIN is an antibiotic remedy of the class of tetracycline used to treat infections caused by bacteria. MINOCIN can be used along with other agents in the treatment of severe acne.

"MINOCIN 75mg offers dermatologists an option for an additional strength that will complement the currently available 50mg and 100mg forces," said Roberto Moccia, the President, the Home Dermatologics and the CEO, Dermatology of Precision. "With three MINOCIN forces, dermatology physicians can tailor therapy with the original minocycline to meet the needs of many patients."

"Minocycline is a second generation general purpose tetracycline in acne due to their efficacy and ease in dosing. Minocycline is effective in the treatment of acne because it has high tissue penetration, related to the affinity of the molecule for lipids such as sebum. Minocycline is easily absorbed if taken with or without food, "said Dr. Neal Bhatia, Assistant Professor of Dermatology at UCLA Port. "The choice of three different MINOCIN forces allows dermatologists to individualize treatment regimens, balancing efficacy and the potential for adverse actions."
